The total or partial loss of the ability to control our bladder is known as incontinence. Most people are not aware of this disorder because it is not very popular. Signs that Hint at the Development of Different Types of Incontinence in Men
• There is discomfort in your back abdomen when pressure is applied. This may be a sign of Urinary Tract Infection or UTI that can lead to incontinence.
• You have an enlarged or very firm prostate gland, which may indicate benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate cancer.
• Your urinary tract is blocked by growths or abnormalities that can be spotted in a rectal exam.
• There is a loss of muscle control in some areas of your body including your urinary tract. This may be the early signs of Parkinson’s disease or even a stroke. Both of which may lead to incontinence after prostate surgery.
Being aware of the signs of the different types of incontinence in men allows you to detect it at an early stage. If it is caught early, it will be easier to cure. This saves you from the inconvenience of urinary leaks as well as complicated and expensive treatments in the future.

• overactive bladder
• removal of the prostate gland

• and urinary stones.
After being informed of the potential causes and risk factors for the different types of incontinence in men, the next step is to observe a proper diet and create a healthy lifestyle. Doing so will reduce the risk of developing incontinence and their are incontinence products now available for men.

The following changes are recommended:
Healthy Diet
• Take in more foods that are high in fibre. These include whole grain breads, grains, cereals and cereal products, fruit, vegetables, legumes, nuts and seeds.
• Drink the recommended 6-8 glasses of water every day.
• Maintain an ideal body weight.
• Steer clear of caffeinated drinks and carbonated beverages.
• Cut down on alcohol as it irritates the bladder.
